Methodology

The Liberty International School difference is our focus on actualizing the student-centered approach to teaching. Student-centered methods promote independence of thought as we shift the focus of activity from the teacher to the learners. These methods include active learning which encourages students to solve problems; cooperative learning in which students work in teams to complete projects; and inductive teaching where students are persuaded to confront challenges based on context and what they have formally studied in their coursework.

Literacy and numeracy are important, very important. However, we also endeavor to impart good moral character, graceful manners, and culturally appropriate social skills. The LIS curriculum is based on the truism that education is a holistic process based on aptitude, a positive attitude, and a desire to develop skills that lead to a habit-forming commitment to lifelong learning.
