LIS is actively recruiting motivated and talented teachers and assistant teachers for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Liberty International School is seeking foreign teachers for our children’s program, both pre and primary. We are recruiting for both full-time and part-time positions.

Liberty International School (LIS) is a specialized school offering English for children. We feature an American-inspired curriculum that is taught in a student-centered environment.

The ideal recruit will have a minimum of 6 months to a year of experience teaching children, possess a university degree, and is comfortable in multi-cultural environment.

Job Description: classroom teacher

- fluent in English
- prepare and implement lesson plans in accordance with our curriculum
- regular evaluation and assessment of our young learners
- supervise and train our motivated and talented Khmer assistants
- contribute to our on-going curriculum development
- strong oral and written communication skills
- motivated self-starter who requires little direct supervision
- computer literate
- possess excellent organizational skills

Requiiste requirements for international teachers:

Experience teaching young learners

University degree from a recognized universtiy

hold a valid Cambodia work visa

willingness to learn and work in an innovative work environment

commitment to work with and contribute to the curriculum development through regular meetings with our staff consultant

prepare regular lesson plans consistent with our established curriculum

regular evaluation and reporting of students' progress

supervision and support of students in a multi-cultural environment

Requisite requirements for teaching assistants:

competence in both English and Khmer

reliable, possess problem-solving skills

comfortable working with children in a multi-cultural environment

International volunteers:

LIS has several positions available for those wishing to volunteer, both long- and short-term. Preference is given to those with experience and valid teaching credentials from an accredited state or national education system.
